Li Bai, styled Taibai and also known as the “Immortal of Poetry,” was a famous Romantic poet during the Tang Dynasty. He holds a significant place in Chinese literary history alongside Du Fu, with whom he is often referred to collectively as “Li Du.” Li Bai’s poems are renowned for their boldness, unrestrained emotion, rich imagination, and artistic appeal. Some of his representative works include “Bringing in the Wine” and “Ballad of Mount Lu.
