Ouachita Geosyncline
The Ouachita geosyncline is a major fold along southern North America. It is mostly covered by sediment from the Mississippian and later, but it outcrops in the Austin, Texas region, spanning Oklahoma and Arkansas, where it forms the Ouachita mountains.
